Two women arguing

Bricklane, London. June 2010. 35mm f8, Kodak Gold 200.

There are always characters in Brick Lane, this entire part of London is a treasure trove for street photographers, everytime I back, I always get at least a couple of usable exposures. In fact, I danced around the four or five characters in this photograph, and if you go back in time on this blog, you’ll probably recognise a couple of the other people in the photograph, appearing in a different frame, and on the same roll of film.

The silver bullet approach. In a sense that’s why I like film so much, I think about the shot more. I wait for just the right moment before I make the exposure, as opposed to the tommy gun approach with digital. I swear I miss the shots when the shutter is going off in between the shots.
