Leica M6, 35mm Summilux pre-asph at f2. Inside Subway on Bayswater, London. September 2010. Kodak GOLD 200.

I want an M9 so bad, but it makes zero financial sense to purchase the camera. The problem is film processing + scanning takes up time and money too… but maybe not to the tune of £4,000.

Anyway, money aside, I sold my M8, and had ‘committed’ to film chiefly because I feel that film still gives pictures a certain sheen, that digital cannot deliver. Pixel peeping doesn’t tell you what that particular quality is, maybe it is more lively, maybe not.

Whatever the case, I think film + Mandler designed Leica lenses can produce ‘nice’ portraits.
